\nI didn\u2019t question it\u2014I just drove.<\/p>\n

When she came out, though, something felt off. She looked surprised to see me, almost confused. \u201cWhy are you here?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n

I told her about the message. She frowned. \u201cI never texted you.\u201d<\/p>\n

I showed her my phone. We both stared at the screen, trying to make sense of it. The message was right there, sent from her number.<\/p>\n

Before either of us could say anything else, another text popped up.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour wife is pregnant! Congrats!\u201d<\/p>\n

Unknown number.<\/p>\n

I felt my stomach drop. I turned to her, but she had already gone pale. Slowly, with trembling hands, she reached into her pocket and pulled something out.<\/p>\n

A pregnancy test.<\/p>\n

Positive.<\/p>\n

She explained that she had just found out earlier that morning at work. She hadn\u2019t told anyone\u2014not a friend, not a coworker. She had planned to surprise me that night after dinner.<\/p>\n

Which meant one thing: whoever sent those messages shouldn\u2019t have known.<\/p>\n

We drove home in silence, both shaken. To this day, we still don\u2019t know who sent them\u2014or how they knew.<\/p>\n
