I thought labor would be the hardest part. I was wrong.<\/p>\n

What came after nearly broke me. My body hurt everywhere. My emotions swung wildly. Even standing up felt impossible. Motherhood was beautiful, but it tore me apart before slowly putting me back together.<\/p>\n

One night, I didn\u2019t have the strength to walk to the bathroom alone. My husband held me like I was fragile, helped me back to bed, fixed my postpartum diaper, and tucked me in.<\/p>\n

I started crying. I felt helpless. Embarrassed. I wanted to apologize for him seeing me at my lowest.<\/p>\n
