A 92-year-old man strutted into his doctor\u2019s office for his annual checkup looking happier than a lottery winner.<\/p>\n
The doctor examined him and said, \u201cWell, you seem to be in excellent spirits today.\u201d<\/p>\n
The old man grinned proudly.<\/p>\n
\u201cExcellent? Doc, I\u2019ve never felt better in my life!\u201d<\/p>\n
The doctor raised an eyebrow.
\n\u201cOh really?\u201d<\/p>\n
The old-timer leaned forward with a smug smile.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just married a gorgeous 20-year-old woman\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026and she\u2019s pregnant with my baby!\u201d<\/p>\n
He sat back like a king waiting for applause.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo tell me, Doc\u2026 what do you think about that?\u201d<\/p>\n
The doctor folded his hands thoughtfully.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell,\u201d he said, \u201cthat reminds me of an old hunting buddy of mine.\u201d<\/p>\n
The old man looked puzzled but listened carefully.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy friend was a passionate hunter. Never missed a season in his life. One morning, he rushed out of the house so excited to go hunting that he accidentally forgot his ammunition.\u201d<\/p>\n
The old man nodded.<\/p>\n
The doctor continued:<\/p>\n
\u201cAs he walked near a lake, he spotted the biggest beaver he\u2019d ever seen playing near the water.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cHe reached for his rifle\u2026 and suddenly realized it wasn\u2019t loaded.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo, just for fun, he aimed the rifle, shouted \u2018BANG! BANG!\u2019\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201c\u2026and unbelievably, the beaver dropped dead instantly.\u201d<\/p>\n
The doctor paused dramatically.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow tell me\u2026 what do YOU think happened?\u201d<\/p>\n
The 92-year-old stroked his chin wisely.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, Doc\u2026 common sense says somebody else must\u2019ve fired the real shots.\u201d<\/p>\n
The doctor smiled slowly and said:<\/p>\n
