\u201cYou don\u2019t understand,\u201d the nun whispered dramatically. \u201cIn the dream, I actually knew the answer.\u201d<\/p>\n

The sister blinked. \u201cWhat did you say?\u201d<\/p>\n

The nun buried her face in her hands. \u201cPancakes\u2026 with cinnamon.\u201d<\/p>\n

For a moment, the room was silent.<\/p>\n

Then the sister burst into laughter so hard she nearly dropped her prayer book. \u201cSister Agnes, you didn\u2019t sin in your dream. You became a wife for one night, not a criminal.\u201d<\/p>\n

But Agnes looked deeply troubled. \u201cIt gets worse.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s worse?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe kissed me on the forehead before leaving for work\u2026 and I packed him lunch.\u201d<\/p>\n

Agnes stared into the distance like a war survivor.<\/p>\n

\u201cTurkey sandwiches. Cut diagonally.\u201d<\/p>\n

The convent bell rang outside, echoing through the halls.<\/p>\n
